Curtis Muller – Division Manager, Energy Solutions

I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2015 with a degree in Mathematics as a student athlete. I immediately began working for an Electrical Contracting Company as a Project Manager, Estimator, and Design manager. The job allowed me to develop a strong knowledge of electrical engineering practices and project management skills so that I can pursue my real passion- renewable energy.

I started by building an off grid tiny house in 2016 powered by solar panels, battery storage, and water collection. The experience allowed me to become a regional project manager for a solar company then I was offered a job in the US Virgin Islands where my experience and knowledge was challenged every day. I used my project management skills to develop a process that cut pre installation requirements by half the original time. My electrical engineering skills were crucial in understanding the hurricane battered electrical grid. 99% of the solar installs were coupled with battery storage and 50% of those installs involved an existing gas generator. My team and I can be quoted saying “We’ll figure it out” every day- and we always did.

Certifications: “Tesla Certified Powerwall Installer” “Enphase Ensemble Storage Installer”

Interests: Sustainability, electric cars, tiny houses, off grid living, minimalism, sailing, snorkeling.
